KYC data is flawed - because of fake IDs, multiple numbers on one ID, maximum prepaid usage

However, let's assume that this system can be implemented. And let's assume that the KYC information is correct. How will knowing the name of the caller help end the menace of spam and scam? If I get a call from Rakesh Sharma and I answer - it turns out to be a scammer. Knowing the name did not help. No one can answer this.

The TRAI DND app has been absolutely third grade. I don’t think they have the talent nor inclination to take on truecller

there is a statement - Apparently, the app can read your messages, according to research by Caravan Magazine. This does not seem right. I think all messaging apps work locally on the phone - check any app like sms organiser, mezo and even true caller. I have used all. currently I am using sms organiser but I also have true caller. both apps say it clearly that no sms data is read or uploaded by them.

you are confusinh a sms permission (Android application request) and saying giving permission is equal to uploading

Hey, companies very often don't reveal what data they store and what they don't. Even Apple has been called out on this front. You'll be surprised to know what data companies can access and store without technically taking your consent. And yes, Truecaller has denied the claims but independent research showed that they could access messages of the user.

so you are assuming that the 'independent research' is clear and true, without any bias or agenda? or did they provide any proof of their independent research findings?
